A New Jersey teen helped save a kidnapping victim locked in a car trunk, police say, after hearing his cries for help. Kayla Rose, 17, was walking her dog on Thursday morning when she heard muffled noises coming from the trunk of a parked car. “I heard knocking and scratching on the trunk of the car, and I just backed up because I was scared,” Rose told local station WABC. “And then I heard it again. And then I said, ‘Hello.’ And he was like, ‘Hello, can anybody help me?'” Rose said she ran to tell her mother about the sounds and alerted neighbors who called 911.
